Samsung Galaxy Watch4 44MM SM-R870 Aluminum Smartwatch GPS Only (Renewed)

Items Description

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 44MM SM-R870 Aluminum Smartwatch GPS Only (Renewed) is a versatile smartwatch designed for Android users who want a reliable wrist-based companion for health monitoring and daily connectivity. Built around a streamlined circular case and a vivid Super AMOLED display, this 44mm model delivers a balanced combination of fitness tools, smart notifications, and wear-all-day comfort.

The 44mm variant features a larger 1.4-inch screen that presents clear at-a-glance stats during workouts and everyday use. The slim aluminum body keeps the watch light on the wrist while offering a durable, modern look suitable for gym sessions, office wear, or weekend trips. With built-in GPS that records routes without a connected phone, it functions as a practical tool for runners, cyclists, and walkers.

Key Advantages of the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 44MM SM-R870 Aluminum Smartwatch GPS Only (Renewed)

1. Bioactive Sensor for Body Composition and Heart Data

The Galaxy Watch4 series introduced Samsung’s BioActive sensor, which consolidates optical heart rate, electrical heart signal, and bioelectrical impedance analysis into a single compact module. This allows the 44mm model to measure body composition metrics such as skeletal muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, body water, and body fat percentage directly from the wrist.

The same sensor supports continuous heart rate tracking and alerts for unusually high or low readings. Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring and sleep analysis are also included, giving users a practical overview of their recovery and daily wellness.

• Body Composition: Estimates muscle, fat, water, and BMR via bioelectrical impedance.
• Heart Rate Monitoring: Tracks beats per minute throughout the day with irregular rhythm alerts.
• Blood Oxygen: Measures SpO2 levels during rest or activity.
• Sleep Analysis: Records total sleep time, stages, and snoring detection when paired with a phone.

2. Built-in GPS for Untethered Workouts

The 44mm Galaxy Watch4 includes standalone GPS, meaning it can log distance, pace, and route data during outdoor exercise without requiring a smartphone nearby. This is useful for runners or hikers who prefer to leave their phone behind while still capturing accurate workout metrics.

Location data syncs to the Samsung Health app after the workout, allowing users to review their route on a map and track progression over time. The watch records speed, elevation, and split times, making it a straightforward choice for structured training sessions.

• Route Tracking: Records outdoor runs, walks, and cycling paths via GPS.
• Workout Metrics: Provides pace, distance, cadence, and elevation data.
• Auto-Start: Detects certain activities, such as walking or running, and begins tracking automatically.
• Compatibility: Works with the Samsung Health app on Android smartphones.

3. Wear OS Powered by Samsung with Full App Support

This model runs Wear OS with Samsung’s One UI Watch layer, giving access to a broad range of third-party applications from the Google Play Store. Users can install messaging apps, music streaming services, navigation tools, and fitness platforms directly onto the watch, reducing the need to reach for their phone throughout the day.

Notifications for calls, texts, and emails arrive on the wrist with quick-reply options. The watch also supports contactless payments through Samsung Pay, enabling simple tap-to-pay transactions at supported terminals. The 44mm model’s larger display makes reading notifications and interacting with apps more convenient compared to the smaller 40mm variant.

• Google Play Store: Install a wide range of watch-compatible apps.
• Notifications: Receive and respond to calls, texts, and app alerts.
• Samsung Pay: Use NFC to make contactless payments at compatible terminals.
• One UI Watch: Offers intuitive navigation and customization options.

4. 1.4-inch Super AMOLED Display with Always-On Option

The 44mm case houses a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED panel that delivers vivid colors, deep blacks, and sharp text legibility. Outdoor visibility is reliable even in bright sunlight, while the Always-On Display option lets users check the time without raising their wrist.

Watch faces can be customized through both Samsung’s own gallery and third-party providers. Combining a bright, responsive screen with multiple display options makes the watch easy to read during workouts or while quickly glancing at incoming information during the day.

• Screen Size: 1.4-inch Super AMOLED with 450 x 450 resolution.
• Always-On Display: Keeps essential information visible at all times.
• Customizable Watch Faces: Choose from various designs, colors, and complications.
• Touch Response: Smooth navigation through menus and app lists.

5. Slim Aluminum Case and Over 100 Workout Modes

The aluminum case measures 44.4 x 43.3 x 9.8 mm and weighs approximately 30.3 grams, making it light enough for all-day wear and overnight sleep tracking. The metal frame adds a more premium feel compared to all-plastic smartwatch designs while keeping the overall profile compact.

Samsung Health includes more than 100 guided workout modes, covering activities from rowing and cycling to guided stretches and dynamic workouts. The watch also supports auto-detection for common exercises, automatically starting a tracking session when it detects repetitive movement. A built-in workout trainer provides real-time coaching during select routines for improved form and motivation.

• Weight and Size: 30.3g (without band), 44mm case diameter.
• Workout Modes: 100+ presets covering gym, cardio, and outdoor sports.
• Auto-Workout Detection: Identifies walking, running, rowing, and cycling sessions.
• In-Workout Coaching: Offers form feedback and real-time guidance for selected routines.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 44MM SM-R870 Aluminum Smartwatch GPS Only (Renewed) is best suited for Android users who want an all-round fitness companion with GPS tracking, body composition analysis, and a robust selection of smart features. For daily workouts, route logging, and convenient wrist-based notifications, this 44mm model offers a practical balance of performance and everyday usability.
